The Basmanny Court of Moscow turned the property of former Senator Rauf Arashukov and his father, former adviser to General Director of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz LLC Raul Arashukov, into state revenue for more than 1 billion rubles. About it informs Interfax.

According to the lawyer of the Arashukovs, Vladimir Postaniuk, prosecutors estimated this property at 1.3 billion rubles.

“We attribute this court decision to unreasonable and illegal: the arguments of lawyers about the absence of violations of the law, about the acquisition of property long before the adoption of anti-corruption legislation, as well as many other arguments were not heard by the court. We will appeal, ”Postaniuk said.

The lawsuit of the prosecutor’s office against the Arashukovs and several co-defendants, who are their relatives, has been considered by the court since the fall of 2020. The prosecutor’s check revealed that the income of Raul and Rauf Arashukovs and their relatives did not correspond to the value of their property.

In particular, according to the supervision data, with the salary of Raul Arashukov for the period from 2007 to 2017 in the amount of 65,917,000 rubles and Rauf Arashukov for the period from 2009 to 2018 – 15,651,125 rubles, they acquired property for 1,469,127,512 rubles. … During their work in the authorities, father and son bought 75 real estate objects, including five apartments, nine residential buildings, a three-storey hotel “Adiyukh-Palace”, a restaurant, a bath complex, seven land plots, 14 vehicles and other luxury items. To hide the ownership of this property, they registered the property with relatives, personal drivers and security guards.

The Arashukovs were detained in January 2019. Rauf Arashukov was detained in the plenary hall of the Federation Council at a closed meeting with the participation of the then Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika and the head of the TFR Alexander Bastrykin.

The senator is accused of ordering the murders of two people in Karachay-Cherkessia in 2010. He was also charged with participation in a criminal community and pressure on a witness. His father is suspected of creating a criminal community to steal gas in the Stavropol Territory and the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The Arashukovs do not admit their guilt.
