The richest man in the world, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos flew into space. This is evidenced by the broadcast conducted by the company.
Bezos made his first space flight aboard the New Shepard launch vehicle, built by his company Blue Origin. Together with him went into space his brother Mark, as well as 82-year-old Wally Funk and 18-year-old Oliver Dayman.
Jeff Bezos’ ship took off from a site in the desert in West Texas, the journey lasted about 11 minutes. The flight and landing were successful.
The day before, another American businessman, the founder of the Virgin Group, Richard Branson, flew to the border of space. Galactic Unity 22, also developed by his company, climbed to an altitude of 86 km and landed successfully.
