British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Finance Minister Rishi Sunak will observe a regime of partial self-isolation after contact with the health minister of the kingdom, Sajid Javid, who has been infected with the coronavirus. informs The Guardian.
According to the publication, Johnson and Sunak are participating in an experimental scheme that allows them to take daily rapid tests instead of complete self-isolation.
It is also noted that Johnson will only participate in the most essential government activities. At the same time, the Prime Minister will be obliged to maintain self-isolation while out of his workplace.
According to the rules in force in the country, the British, who have been in close contact with the sick, must observe the self-isolation regime for ten days. At the moment, this restriction applies even to fully vaccinated citizens.
Health Minister Sajid Javid became aware of the illness on July 17. Since Javid was vaccinated, doctors note a mild course of the disease.
