After 9 hours of interrogation, the transport prosecutor’s office released journalist Pyotr Manyakhin, who was detained today in the Altai Republic for filming from a drone. About this Manyakhin himself reported “Taige.Info”.

According to the publication, a protocol was drawn up against Manyakhin under Part 5 of Art. 11.5 of the Administrative Code (Management of an aircraft that has not passed state registration, or has not been registered with the state). The punishment under this article implies a fine of up to 2.5 thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to operate an aircraft for up to one year.

Manyakhin was detained this morning for filming from a drone, later the journalist stopped communicating.

Petr Manyakhina and four more journalists from the Project 15 July made in the register of media – “foreign agents”. The same list included two employees of Open Media and a correspondent for Radio Liberty. The publisher of the Russian media “Project” – the American organization Project Media, Inc – was recognized by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation as “undesirable.” The formal reason for this was the denunciation of Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project, written on February 17, 2021.
