As part of her visit to Ireland, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya plans to meet with Irish Foreign Minister Simon Coveney, European Minister Thomas Byrne and Prime Minister Michol Martin. About it reported in Tikhanovskaya’s Telegram channel.
According to the channel, during the meeting it is planned to discuss the issue concerning the fate of political prisoners. In particular, during the dialogue, Tikhanovskaya intends to discuss methods of helping the families of prisoners who have been persecuted, as well as to consider the possibilities of increasing pressure on the Lukashenka regime for their release.
In addition, Tikhanovskaya will urge to raise the topic of Belarus in the UN Security Council, demanding to initiate international investigations into the crimes committed by the current government against the Belarusian people.
Also, according to the Telegram channel, Tikhanovskaya will hold a meeting with the head of Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary – they will discuss how the company can help in the investigation of the incident with the former editor-in-chief of the Nexta Telegram channel Roman Protasevich.
Today Tikhanovskaya is scheduled to meet with the Belarusian diaspora in Dublin.
