Also among the demands: the resignation of the cabinet of ministers, a fair investigation into the death of Lashkarava, the arrest and punishment of all participants in the attack on the operator in the office of the NGO “Sirtskhviliya”.

Leaders of the opposition parties “United National Movement”, “Lelo for Georgia”, “United Georgia – Democratic Movement” and civil activists began to gather at the office of the ruling party in the afternoon. They tried to enter the building to talk to the leadership of the Georgian Dream in person, but were pushed aside by the police.

The protesters, who gathered about 100 people, poured red paint on the police, after which clashes broke out between the police and the protesters. Gradually, the number of participants in the action began to increase.

“Garibashvili must resign, and we, the Georgian media, give him time until morning”, – stated the editor of the newspaper “Chronicle +” Eliso Kiladze, being near the parliament building, among the protesters.

Nika Gvaramia, the general director of the leading opposition TV channel Mtavari Archi, called for the action to be unlimited and not disperse to anyone until all the requirements are met.

Since lunchtime, police units have been mobilized. They do not leave the office of the Georgian Dream party and the parliament building.

“We urge the protesters not to go beyond the limits allowed by the law on freedom of assembly and expression. At the same time, we warn the organizers of the action not to allow incitement to violence and to make sure that the actions do not escalate into violence, “Interior Ministry officials said.
