In Togliatti, an emergency regime was introduced due to a fire in the urban forestry between the Central District and the village of Portovy. The fire covered more than 35 hectares, informs Interfax.
At the moment, according to the agency, there are no dead or injured.
11 buses have been prepared for the possible evacuation of 224 people from the Lesnoy sanatorium.
The forces of the Volga Rescue Center of the EMERCOM of Russia were involved in the place of the fire, and the Mi-8 helicopter of the Zhukovsky Aviation Rescue Center of the EMERCOM was also involved.
It is also reported that the city prosecutor’s office has begun checking compliance with forest management legislation.
