On the eve of the Ministry of Information of Belarus limited access to the site of “Nasha Niva”. The newspaper’s accountants and the houses of its journalists were searched. The editor-in-chief of Nasha Niva, Yegor Martinovich, and three other employees were detained for 72 hours.
According to Nasha Niva, after searches in the office and house, Yegor Martinovich was taken for interrogation to the Investigative Committee, where an ambulance was called for him.
Martinovic said that this morning he was fed for the first time, although he was detained yesterday at about 10 o’clock in the morning. The editor-in-chief of Nasha Niva spent the night in a temporary detention center on Akrestsin Street. According to Martinovic, mattresses and beds were not provided to him and other detainees in the isolation ward.
